Who We Are

Bangladesh's Leader in Safe Food Systems

SHISUK Agro Ltd is a pioneering food safety and sustainable aquaculture enterprise headquartered in Daudkandi, Comilla. Since our founding in 2009, we have partnered with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to implement globally recognized safe food practices across Bangladesh's vast floodplain ecosystems.

Our Community Enterprise Approach empowers rural farming communities to transition from chemical-intensive agriculture to certified organic, FAO-compliant production — without sacrificing yield or income. We manage 70+ active fish farming projects spanning 25,000–30,000 bighas of land, collectively producing BDT 500 crore in fish annually.

In partnership with BARI, Krishi Gobeshona Foundation, and Bangladesh Agricultural University, we lead research-backed programs in biofertilizer production, post-harvest fish handling, and integrated crop-fish systems.

What Stakeholders Say

"
SHISUK's commitment to the FAO Code of Practice is exemplary. Their work in Daudkandi has created a replicable model that every upazila in Bangladesh should adopt for safe, sustainable food production.
FAO Country Representative
Food & Agriculture Organization, Bangladesh
"
The Tricho-Derma initiative with SHISUK has been groundbreaking. Farmers who adopted it saw measurable reductions in chemical fertilizer use and significant soil health improvements within just two cultivation seasons.
Principal Scientific Officer
Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI)
"
Before SHISUK's program, we used heavy pesticides every season. Now our land is healthier, fish quality has improved dramatically, and we earn 30% more at the market. This changed everything for our community.
